It's been an "interesting" month at Skateparktour.ca, to say the least. Back in mid November, the site was hit by a hacker who instaled code pointing visitors to malware infecting websites. With the help of the hosting company, the site was cleaned and reinstalled, and everything got back to normal for a few weeks.

Early in December the hacker returned, this time gaining access to the entire hosting account, taking down skateparktour.ca and sites for two skatepark advocacy groups in Lacombe and Sylvan Lake AB. Tech spport for the hosting company was ineffective at combatting the latest attack, and frankly they didn't seem to be concerned with the devasation the attack was causing. The decision was made to switch to a new host, and the transfer was completedand the site uploaded to the new hosting account today.

Many new developments are planned for skateparktour.ca in 2012, some of which include:

• A complete redesign of the look at feel
• A specially designed mobile site for iPhone, Blackberry's, and Android phones
• Eastward expansion into Saskatchewan and Manitoba
• Adding even more skateparks in BC and Alberta
• An indoor skatepark directory
