Westside Skatepark is closed

In October, as part of the project to build he new LRT line to west Calgary, the Westside Rec Centre skatepark was demolished. In the spring a new skatepark is planned south of the original site and it is slatead to be twice the size. Check the Skateparktour.ca News blog for developments over the winter!

Calgary Needs More Skateparks!

For a city of a million people you'd think this list would be longer; only 2 ONE concrete park in the whole city! True, Millennium is large , but it is one downtown park and Edmonton has 4 spread around the city and a total of NINE skateparks in Greater Edmonton (with the same population as Calgary!!)
